Halloween Chocolate Cauli-oats

A spooky treat for breakfast: chocolate cauliflower oats are a delicious grain free alternative to classic porridge. With a little bit more effort you can transform your regular breakfast bowl into a spooky one for Halloween.


Ingredients :

1 cup cauliflower

1 banana

Splash of milk to blend

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

2 teaspoons carob flour

Sprinkle of cinnamon

Handful of almonds


To decorate:

½ banana

A bit of melted chocolate

Amaranth puffs

Frozen raspberries


Instructions:

Wash the cauliflower. Blend it with one banana and a splash of milk. Transfer the mixture to a pan and slowly heat it up. Add cocoa powder, carob flour and cinnamon and whisk well. Add the almonds. Slowly cook the mixture until it thickens to a porridge like consistency. Transfer to a bowl.

Cut another banana in half and use a toothpick to draw eyes and a mouth with melted chocolate. Pour the rest of the melted chocolate onto the porridge, sprinkle with puffed amaranth and frozen raspberries and add the banana ghost. Serve immediately.
