Grain-free Chocolate Banana Porridge

This grain-free porridge is gluten free, decadent and feels like you're eating dessert for breakfast. But good news, it is a healthy dessert that is packed with things that are good for you, and has no added sugar. A delicious start to the day!


1 banana

Splash of milk

1 teaspoon coconut flour

1 teaspoon flaxseed flour

1 teaspoon cocoa

Small handful of almonds

Melted dark chocolate, toasted coconut flakes, blueberries and raspberries for decoration


Blend the banana with a splash of milk until you get a thick smoothie consistency. Transfer the smoothie to a pan and slowly heat it up. While it’s heating, add 1 teaspoon of smooth coconut flour, 1 teaspoon of flaxseed flour and a teaspoon of dark unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix these well, and add some almonds into the porridge. Cook on low heat, whisking continuously, until the mixture starts to thicken up. When it reaches a porridge consistency and stops sticking to the sides of the pan, transfer the porridge to your bowl. Top with chocolate, toasted coconut flakes, almonds, blueberries and raspberries.
